About us

The idea for VELOGATE.ch was born when the final end of compulsory liability insurance for bikes became a reality on 31.12.2011. We recognised the problem that without this insurance sticker it would be difficult to trace a stolen or lost bike back to its owner.

We wanted to counteract the police’s rapidly filling up bike cellars with a web-based lost-and-found service for bikes. A registered bike should find its way back to its owner using a QR code.

On 1 February 2013, after countless project meetings and even more hours of programming, the time had finally come: we were ready and celebrated our go-live right away with the founding of the association VELOGATE.ch (link to the statutes).

Today the association, whose board consists of at least two people, namely the president and the treasurer, is currently staffed as follows:

President:

Name:                            Luz

First name:                   Stefan

Resident in:                  Horgen

About me:

As a co-initiator and founding member of VELOGATE.ch, the association is particularly dear to my heart. To be able to continue to offer the service free of charge in the future, I use my large network of contacts and my many years of expertise in the insurance industry. The excellent collective agreement with Helsana is probably the best example of this. Of course, we strive to be able to offer you even more attractive offers.

Do you have an exciting idea or are you interested in working with us? Then get in touch with us 😊.

Treasurer:

Name:                             Luz

First name:                    Nadia
